Bosque del Apache loop
OK, this isn't much of a mountain bike ride, but Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge is an amazing place. This ride is on the maintained dirt road used by all traffic so you'll have to deal with some cars, but in the winter you'll also see thousands of sandhill cranes, snow geese and ducks plus bald eagles, coyotes and more.
- 12.30 miles of Maintained Dirt Road
- 200 feet
How to get there:
First take a look inside the visitors center and then park at the entrance to the refuge along New Mexico Highway 1 about 10 miles south of San Antonio, New Mexico.
