Crazy Cat Thru Hike
This El Paso hike takes you between Crazy Cat Mountain and the Franklins. There are several side trails to add distance or change the route. Along the way are close up views of beautiful desert terrain and distant views of El Paso, Juarez and southern New Mexico. The trip shown is a one way - go back and forth and you have a nice 5 mile trip.
- 2.60 miles of Singletrack
- 430 feet
How to get there:
The hike starts at the trailhead at the end of Stanton Street, next to Camelot Condominiums at 4800 N. Stanton. From the dirt parking area at the end of the street, hike up the little road to the water tank and then take the dirt road toward the mountain. We ended the hike at the Palisades Canyon trailhead on Robinson Street, near Rim Road.
